Institutions favor stablecoins and tokenized deposits.
Bitcoin's usual correlations and narratives have broken down, leaving it a speculative/liquidity proxy rather than a reliable inflation or debasement hedge. Institutional digital-asset adoption is instead focused on stablecoins and tokenized deposits because they are regulatory-compliant plumbing for fast, cheap settlement; tokenized deposits could be the next big catalyst given the $100tn commercial-bank deposit base versus about $300bn of stablecoins.
